RETOLD OLD NEWS

Mount Ayr Record-News
Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa

Lisa Wilson, Mount Ayr Record-News

Justin REDDING tied for sixth in the individual scoring at the Class 2A state golf tournament at Lake Panorama National Golf Restor in Panorama over the weekend.

A recital by Roo Duo with former Mount Ayr resident Dr. Nathan SMITH will be one of serveral concerts to which the public is invited when the Iowa Music Teachers Conference is held at Graceland University in Lamoni, Sunday, June 6 through Tuesday, June 8.

Mount Ayr Community School District recently released the perfect attendance roster for the fourth quarter of the 2003-04 school year, which included 221 students.

Memorial Day brought many observances across Ringgold County, but a unique one was held at Redding where a new Avenue of Flags was dedicated. Community members, Sunshine Workers 4-H Club members, Sons of the American Legion and other interested people gathered to help raise the 48 flags which are part of the avenue of flags there.

George L. YOUNG, 73 of Grant City, MO, and Kathleen I. McCONNELL, 55 of Kansas City, MO, co-owners of United Livestock Services, were sentenced by U. S. District Judge Fernando J. GAITAN, Jr.
