Five shots were fired at the Elmer BAKER home at the northeast edge of Mount Ayr at 8:30 p.m. Saturday night, March 29, according to investigating Ringold county sheriff's personnel. There were no injuries. Shots came from a .45 caliber automatic, officials said.

The Gene KLOMMHAS family of rural Ellston arrived home Monday afternoon (March 31) to find their 46 by 40 foot barn had been destroyed by fire.
