The musical "Annie" will be performed this weekend on the Mount Ayr Community high school stage. Some of the main
characters in the cast include:

Tanner RINEHART, Korbie RINEHART, Tracey CAREY and Ryan CAREY were pictured among the trick or treaters going house to
house this year. Winners in the annual Place's Halloween costume contest were Amber GOLLIDAY, five years and under,
and Michelle HULL, six to 12 years.
Ringgold County's courthouse and soldier monument will be featured in the Hawkeye Bank and Trust's statewide calendar
for 1990. The scene is drawn by Des Moines artist Julia Johman Audlehelm.
The Warin Oil and Shamrock Cafe building in Mount Ayr was sold at auction October 24 to Hank SMITH of Mount Ayr. The
WARINS has owned and operated the business since 1964. The original building was constructed by the late Keith ROGERS
in the early 1950's.
Jim and Ann WERNER of Diagonal have tied as the 10th largest producer of registered Angus beef cattle in Iowa, having
recorded 106-head of Angus during the 1989 fiscal year.
Rosemary SCHLAPIA has been selected as the Ringgold County American Heart volunteer of the year. She has been involved
in the association for six years.
