Announcement is made of the establishment of the Roe Implement Company, agency for the International Harvestor Company, located in the Bert Teale building, one block north and one-half block east of the northeast corner of the square.

Joyce Ferber and Lindy Sheldon were first place winners in the girls' and boy's divisions of the contest recently concluded at the Rexall Drug Store.

Evan Dickerson began work Monday as clerk at the Walgreen System drug store in Mount Ayr.

Mary Catherine Canney, daughter of Mrs. Catherine Canney, of Grant township, and Paul Louis Vanderpluym, of Diagonal, were united in marriage December 26, the Rev. M. H. Culhane performing the ceremony. Attendants of the couple were Thomas Canney and Martin Vanderpluym.
