RETOLD OLD NEWS

Mount Ayr Record-News
Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa
Thursday, February 02, 1956

Lisa Wilson, Mount Ayr

More than 12,000 pounds of pork were moved in the recent weekend Pork Lift campaign, sponsored by the Ringgold county Farm Bureau in cooperation with the markets in Ringgold county. The total represents approximately one and one-fourth pounds per person in the county. While the Pork Lift may not be the solution to the hog price problem, it did help to some degree by moving surplus pork and hog prices seem to be on the upgrade.
