SERVICE NEWS
Ness graduates from Sergeant Major's school, now in Korea

Master Sgt. Harold L. NESS Jr. graduated from the United States Army Sergeant Major Academy at Fort Bliss, El Paso, TX in May.

NESS is a 23-year career soldier who started his basic and AIT training at Fort Knox, KY.

His tours of duty have included Fort Stewart, GA, Fort Riley, KS, Fort Jackson, SC, two tours in Germany, three tours in the Middle East and one tour in Korea.

He returned to Korea for a year tour of duty on June 27.

Master Sgt. NESS graduated in 1977 from Mount Ayr Community high school. He and his wife Linda (JOHNSON) have two daughters, Michelle and Stephanie.

He is stationed at Camp Carroll in South Korea. His wife and daughter Stephanie are staying in El Paso, TX during the Korean tour. His daughter Michelle lives in Ames.
