Machinist's Mate 1C VERNON WAYNE KASTER

  Machinist's Mate 1C Vernon Wayne KASTER, son of Mrs. Ida KASTER of Mount Ayr, Iowa, served during World War II with the U.S. Navy. Machinist's Mate 1C KASTER was K.I.A. Sunday, January 30, 1944, and was memorialized on the tablets of the missing at Manila American Cemetery, Fort Bonifacio, Manila, Philippines. Machinist's Mate 1C KASTER was awarded the Purple Heart.
