*The Battle of Shiloh which was fought April 6th and 7th of 1862, was also known as the Battle of Pittsburg Landing. Union casualties were 1,754 killed; 8,408 wounded; and 2,885 captured or missing in action. Confederate casualties were 1,728 killed, 8,012 wounded, and 959 captured or missing in action.
