Larry Duane WEAVER entered the service on December 29, 1964 and served in active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps. Larry received basic training from January to March of 1965 as a member of the 3rd Battalion, Platoon 3013, San Diego, California. Larry was awarded the Dress Blues Uniform Award presented by Leatherneck Magazine for being number one in competition against 236 Marines, Platoon Honorman, Series Honorman and Blues Award, Marksman Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Marine Aviation Detachment Drill Team Award.

Larry was discharged with the rank of Sergeant E/5 on December 9, 1968.
