Service News

In response to a call for service in the army, Dr. G. H. RODGERS left Mount Ayr Tuesday and on April 6 will report to the Brooke Army Hospital, Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX. He will be commissioned a first lieutenant and his service will extend over a period of two years. Dr. and Mrs. RODGERS and son, Douglas, went to Licking, MO for a visit with their parents. Mrs. RODGERS and Douglas will remain in Licking until Dr. RODGERS receives a permanent assignment. Dr. RODGERS, who has been associated with Dr. D. E. MITCHELL since July, 1953, made friends and rendered invaluable service to the community during his practice here.
