2nd Lt. Martin G. O'CONNELL, Jr., son of Martin George Sr. and Mary J. (TRACY) O'CONNELL, was born March 27, 1921. He served during World War II with the U.S. Army Air Force. 2nd Lt. O'CONNELL died of non-battle causes over the English Channel on April 23, 1944. He was 23-years-old. Interment was made at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Iowa.
