MERCER FAMILY VETERANS

PFC Ervin B. MERCER served with Company G of the 118th Infantry during World War I. He was honorably discharged on April 10, 1919.

R.C. MERCER entered the service on Aprils 21, 1953 and was assigned to Battery C of the 39th Anti-Aircraft Artillery. When stationed in England, MERCER was a cannoneer. He was discharged on April 13, 1955 and earned the National Defense Service Medal.

Marvin MERCER served in 1958 as a clerk typist in the Artillery Headquarters Battery, a member of the 52nd Artillery.

Elvin MERCER entered the service on February 17, 1966. He was attached to the 101st Airborne Division, earning the rank of Sp/4. Elvin served two years.
