News of Men in the Armed Services
Cpl. Billy MERCER returned Saturday from Fort Meade, Md., after receiving his honorable discharge June 12th. He had
served for two years with the U.S. army. He will make his home with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Paul
JETER and family, of Beaconsfield.
Pvt. Ike McGEHEE came Thursday from Fort Riley, Kan., and visited until Tuesday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth McGEHEE, other relatives, and with friends.
