Joined the regulars at Little Rock, Arkansas May 4, 1865
Served with the expedition that resulted in the capture of Mobile, Alabama
participated in the siege of
Spanish Fort and the capture of Blakely, Spring of 1865
participated in the skirmish at Whistler, Alabama on
April 13, 1865
Was with the expedition from Mobile to Texas, arriving at Banzos June 10, 1865

CONLEY - Ezra CONLEY, eighty-three, died at the Milford Soldiers and Sailors' home Saturday morning. The body is at
Castle, Roper & Mathews' pending arrangements.

OBITUARY.
Funeral services for Ezra CONLEY who died Saturday morning at the soldiers' and sailors' home at Milford [Seward County,
Nebraska], will be
held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at Castle, ROper and Matthews' Chapel with G.A.R., assisted by Rev. C. L. MYERS
in charge. Interment will be in Wyuka [Cemetery, Lincoln, Nebraska]. Mr. CONLEY had been a resident of Nebraska for forty years, taking up his
residence at the Soldiers' and Sailors' home about five months ago. He is survived by his wife Agnes [Agnes Ann (CRAWFORD)];
five daughters, Mrs. John FOREMAN of Lincoln; Mrs. Fred NORTH of Plainview, Neb.; Mrs. (Virginia Ann) I. L. [Isaac Luther]HEART of Ravinia, Ill.;
Mrs. Charles SHELDON of Glendale Calif.; and, Mrs. (Pearl Agresta) Edwin MILKUS of McCook; and five sons, C. L.
[Charles Leander] of Havelock; S. W. [Simon Wallace] of
Maxwell, Okla.; J. A. [James Albert "Bert"] of Groffer (sic, should be Prosser), Wash.; and, D. H. of Glendale, Calif.
NOTE: Ezra was born October 26, 1844, Vermillion County, Indiana.
Agnes and Ezra's daughter Leona Addella CONLEY was born in Ringgold County, Iowa on January 13, 1871,
and aded in 1872 at the age of one year. Ezra's brother James CONLEY was killed during the Civil War on July 4, 1863 during
the Battle of Helena, Arkansas.
