The BROWN'S 30th camp out was held July 1-4, 2005 at the Brown Park, the home of Jim and Sally BROWN, located near Lenox.

Those attending were Pat and John WILSON, Bill BROWN, Chad and Jessica, Shantelle, Troy and lane BROWN, all of Clearfield; Jane and Craig, Logan and Dillan DAVID and Jennifer and Jim, Cauy and Trayce MILLER, all of Sharpsburg; Anige and Wade BOLINGER of Ames; Joni and Jason ROBERTS of Belton, MO; Gary and Kathy BROWN, Stephanie and Richard, Samantha, Levi, Duncan and Dawson MARSHALL, Ryan, Courtney and Kristin BROWN, Sara and Travis, Chelsie, Katie and Coleman DUKES, Jim and Sally, DJ, Mitch and Megan BROWN, a friend of Mitch's, Josh MITCHELL, Nick BROWN, Don and Maralyn BARKER and Bob and Kathlyn BROWN, all of Lenox;

Deanna and Mike, Robyn RICKE and Maurtica WILLIAMS of Des Moines; a friend of Robyn's, Like BLANCHARD of Indianola; Stoney and Heather, Taylor, Merik and Aiden GAULE of Corning; Tyson BROWN of Ankeny; Jennifer BREAKENRIDGE and fiance, Wes GREG, and their daughter, Hailley GREG of Diagonal; Sheryl and Hugh VOGEL of Joplin, MO; Jamie and Darian, Austen and Caeden DAVID; Jenny LEONARD and fiance, Jeromy ROBINSON of Gravity; Ron and Keri, Kaitlyn, Trent and Jeannette BROWN of Godley, TX. Friends of Wes GREG and friends of Jim and Sally BROWN also visited. Several familiy members were missed this year.

The camp out was started with campers and tents coming in and being set up at the Brown Park and there was excitement inthe air. The children reconnected with their cousins and the playing began as the rules are the same every year. The children can stay up all night if they want to as long as they keep the noise down, do not take tents down, stay off the road and don't play in the campfire. They love these rules and they work well.

The meals are purchased, prepared and served by a different family each time. It's great because one only works with food one meal during the stay. Every evening there was a campfire and each night it was different stories, jokes and snacks from popcorn to s'mores.

This year there was karaoke, volleyball, football, horse riding, horseshoe pitching, clay pidgeon shooting, trampoline jumping, apple bobbing, bubble gum contest, crafts, card playing, looking at new kittens and rabbits, listening to the rooster crow and many more little surprises.
