BARNHART 40th REUNION

The 40th annual BARNHART reunion was held on July 20, 2007 at Fife's Grove Park north of Mount Ayr. There were 32 in attendance on this pretty hot day.

Those in attendance were: Agnes BARNHART SWIHART, Larry and Donna WILSON of Bataviz, Joyce PERKINS of Fairfield, Teena ROUSH of Newton, Elaine BOLINGER of Sharpsburg, Cliff and Patty BARNHART of Essex, Evelyn JACKSON, Sandy WHITE of Grand River, Teresa RHONE, Drake, Bryce and Sunni RAE of Colfax, Burl STULL, Edna BAKER and Lavina WIMER of Mount Ayr, Barb RICH, Renea PETERMAN, Breanna, Bobby and Billy BAKER of Redding, Jon RUPP of Shenandoah, Beckey WHITE and Andy McALEXANDER of Ellston, Sarah BARNHART, Josh PRESTON, Garrett and Galen of Riverton, Melanie JACKSON of Waukee and Debbie ROACH of Delphos.

Last year they lost three beloved family members: Rita MANTZ, daughter of Agnes BARNHART; Tyson LEE, great-grandson of Elaine BOLINGER; and, Steve MYERS, husband of Carol BARNHART MEYERS of Ridgeway, MO.

Our 40th Barnhart Reunion
Forty years we have been here
With all the Barnharts far and near
We welcome friends and strangers too
And some who would come "out of the blue."
Specials foods each one shared
Prepared with love showing they cared,
Over the years many pictures we took
Enough to fill many a book
Some ancestors came from "The Nation"
Passing on to our next generation,
Memories and stories to perserve the past
Gathering each year our dreams will last.
