STAR CENTER CHURCH

Washington Township, Ringgold County, Iowa

Ringgold Record
Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa
April 16, 1907

The Star Center Church was sold recenlty and will be moved. The Community is very sorry tolose the church but dissension has been so rife among the different congregations that attended that it was thought best to dispose of it.

Ringgold Record
Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa
September 14, 1907

The United Brethren Church in Washington Twp., known as the Star Center, is being moved to Oak Grove in Liberty Twp. The building has been taken down and will be drawn to the new location by wagons. It will be rebuilt and ready for used before the coming of winter. The lumber was excellent and much better than you can buy. Once the Star Center church was the center of religious interests, but removals and other causes have depleted it so that it was thought best to transfer all interest to Liberty Center. It is the passing of one old church landmark to another and the renewal of religious life. The wisdom of all concerned is commended.
