REVEREND RICHARD T. HOHL

Beaconsfield Methodist Minister, 1958 - 1964

Reverend Richard T. and Sally HOHL came from Pennsylvania and arrived in Ringgold County on a warm August day in 1958. They arrived with their four children: Lonnie who would enter kindergarten at Kellerton School; Dawn who was four-years-old; Tom who was three-years-old; and Penny who had been born June 1st. While serving the pastorate of Beaconsfield - Grand River - Kellerton, the two youngest HOHL children were born. Wendy in 1959, and Cindy in 1964.

Of the HOHL children, Penny and her husband Mike are ministers with the Free Methodist Church, as is Wendy with the United Methodist Church at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Upon leaving the Beaconsfield - Grand River - Kellerton circuit, Rev. HOHL served the Mt. Union - Cannon Trinity Circuit from 1964 to 1970; Griswold - Lewis United Methodist Churches from 1970 - 1976; Greenfield United Methodist Church from 1976 - 1980; Clarion United Methodist Church from 1980 - 1985; and Clarion United Methodist Church from 1985 - 1991.

After serving the church for more than 40 years, Rev. HOHL retired and resides with Sally on a small acerage outside of Atlantic, Iowa. Rev. HOHL serves part-time with a small United church of Christ.
