Last Will and Testament of Amanda Jane Coburn
I, Amanda Jane Coburn, of Brooklyn, Poweshiek County, Iowa, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do hereby make, declare and publish this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking any and all other wills by me heretofore made.

First: It is my will and I hereby direct that there be first paid out of my estate all just demands and claims against the same, including the expense of my last sickness and burial and of such administration.

Second: I give, devise and bequeath all the rest, residue and remainder of any property of whatsoever it may consist and wherever situated at my death to be divided equally, share and share alike amongst my children hereinafter named: to-wit, Melissa Coburn, Martha E. Gast, Ira B. Coburn, John Coburn, Laura Adeline Gauley, Rebecca C. Chamberlain, Jessie Coburn, William Coburn, Ulysses S. Coburn, Arthur Coburn and Thomas Coburn, and it is my will and I hereby direct that if any one
of my said children shall not survive me that the share which would have gone under this will to such deceased child shall go to his or her heirs.

And it is my will and I further provide that in the distribution of my estate that there shall be taken into account the several notes hereinafter decribed, said notes to be, unless
paid during my life time, considered as advance payments to the makers thereof and distribution of my estate to be made accordingly; to-wit,

One note of $1188.53, dated September 26, 1909, due in twelve months after date, bearing interest at five per cent, payable to Mrs. M. J. Coburn, and signed by my son Thomas Coburn.

One note of $500.00, dated February 11, 1910, due in one year after date, bearing interest at four per cent, made to Mrs A. J. Coburn and signed by my son Ira Coburn.

And one note for $450.00, without date, due November 9, 1907, bearing interest at five per cent, made to M. J. Coburn and signed by my daughter R.C. Chamberlain.

The said notes in which the payee's name is written M. J. Coburn belong to me and were so written by mistake, the writer using the initial M. as being the first letter of my first name instead of A.

I hereby nominate and appoint as Executor of this my last will and testament John F. Talbott, of Brooklyn, Iowa.

Dated at Brooklyn, Iowa, this June 1, 1910.
(signed)
Amanda Jane Coburn.
