Last Will and Testament of Dudley Child
Know all men by these presents, that I, Dudley Child, of Grinnell, Poweshiek County and State of Iowa, being of sound mind and memory, but realizing the uncertainty of life and wishing to make suitable provision for the disposition of the property of which I may by the kindness of an All-Wise Providence be seized at the time of my death, do now make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all other wills.

1st: It is my will that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be first pald out of my estate.

2nd: I give, devise and bequeath to my wife, Hannah E. Child, to hold and occupy and use her natural life, all the property of every name and nature and wherever the same situated, of which I may be seized at the time of my death, and this I do in lieu of dower interest and distributive share.

3rd: I give, devise and bequeath to my son Franklin L. property of every name and nature and being a part of my estate at the time of the death of my wife, to have and to hold to himself and his heirs forever.

I make, constitute and appoint my said son Franklin L. Child executor of my last will and testament and it is my will that my said executor be not required to give bond.
