State of Iowa Uniform County Teachers Certificates Miss E. Ferne King.....married Rev. S. A. Jones (She taught prior to their marriage on June 1, 1927. And she taught again after the death of her husband in March of 1949--thus the gap in years between the certificates. The paperwork indicates that she apparently had the early certificate re-instated and renewed. Then the 1952 certificate was issued after she had more college hours of study.) Miss King taught in Johnson Twp schools prior to her marriage. Mrs. E. Ferne Jones taught in Washington Twp and Grant Twp schools in the early 1950's.
