WASHINGTON: Miss Florence Manz began teaching school in the Halweg district last Monday.

Rev. Gilbert, of Merill, will preach his farewell sermon in the Halweg
school house next Sunday.

Some of the teachers who began their fall term of school in this township are: Miss Hazel Hancer of this place in District number four, Miss Olive
Woodruff, of Merrill in district number five and Miss Clara Duus of LeMars
in number six.
