Aren't these little fellas just the CUTIEST!

The Harrington Brothers, Loren (left) and Vernon (right) 1953 - New Pupils at Washington No. 3 **Look closely and you can see the Harrington boys in the Globe-Post photo [below] from the October field trip picture. The boys are in the front row, wearing matching shirts and suspenders!

LeMars Globe-Post, October 29, 1953

There was a little item in Monday's paper about a visit by the pupils of Washington District 3 school to the Globe-Post office. They also visited the Kohout Cap Factory, the post office, the Vander Meer bakery, Wells Dairy and the City library.

While visiting the Globe-Post they had their picture taken in the bindery room on the second floor, grouped around the new Baum folder, which perversely refused to give a good demonstration. They saw all the principal operations from the second floor to the press and sterotype departments in the basement.

The youngsters were brought by their teacher, Mrs. Evelyn Warborg, assisted by Mrs. Lyle Stephens, Mrs. Claus Kruse, Mrs. Clifford Jurgenson and Mrs. Hilbert Hennigs.

Following is a list of the pupils: Marvin Hanno, Dale Hennigs, David Thietje, Danny Tone, Shirley Thietje, Beverly Jurgenson, Margaret Stephens, Mary Stephens, Dorothy Ann Kruse, Betty Ann Hennigs, Vernon Harrington, Paul Tone, Timmy Tone, Jay Stephens, Elizabeth Tone, Judy Thietje and Loren Harrington.
