STRUB FAMILY HOLDS REUNION

The annual Strub-Buhlman family reunion was held Sunday, Sept. 5, at the LeMars municipal New Deal park scout cabin.  A dinner was served to the 49 members present.

The afternoon was spent in visiting and playing games.  A late afternoon lunch closed the day’s affairs.

The next gathering will be held the Sunday preceding Labor Day in 1955, and will be held at the Anderson home at River Sioux, Iowa.

Those attending were:  Mrs. W. T. Summerhayes, Mrs. Charles Strub, Frank Buhlman, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Daringer, all of Waterloo; Mrs. Ralph Anderson, Maxine and Paul, of River Sioux; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin McColley and family, of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Richardson and family, of Missouri Valley; and,

Mr. and Mrs. Neal J. Strub, of Kansas City; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Strub, Dick, Don and Eugene, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Strub and son, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Strub and son, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Strub and family, all of Merrill; Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Reuter and family, and Marie Jahn, of LeMars.

1956

FAMILY REUNION

The annual Strub-Buhlmann family reunion was held at Sportsmans Club in Waterloo on Sunday, September 1st.  Sixty-two members were present.  The oldest member being Mrs. W. T. Summerhays, and the youngest, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Summerhays, both of Waterloo.

Those attending from this locality were Marie Johns and grandsons, Larry and Donald Reuter.

Miss Donna Summerhays, of Chicago, was the one to come the longest distance. 

Mrs. Ralph Anderson and son, Paul, of River Sioux, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin McColley and family, of Omaha, were also in attendance.  The remainder of these in attendance were from Waterloo, and close vicinity thereto.
