About thirty-five relatives enjoyed a family reunion at the pleasant
country home of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Knapp last Sunday. Those present were
Mr. and Mrs. John Casper and family, Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Soule and family
of this city, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Harrison and family, Mr. and Mrs.
Herman Mathwig and Mrs. Sarah Soule also of Hinton.

FAMILY REUNION IN KNAPP HOME

Members of the C. L. Knapp clan who assembled at the old home for an old
fashioned Christmas included Mr. and Mrs. Fay Knapp, Robert, Rex and
Virginia, of Merrill; Mrs. Ernie Luco and sons, James and Allen, of Stevens,
S.D; Mr. and Mrs. K. K. Knapp, George and Dorcas, of Westfield; Mr. and Mrs.
Chas. Knapp, Jr. and daughters, Beverly Kay and Coleen, of Cushing, Iowa;
Mr. and Mrs. Iryl Knapp and daughters, Lee and Helen Ann, of Westfield; Mr.
and Mrs. Garth Knapp, Keith and Marilyn, of Sioux City; and Mr. and Mrs.
Harlan Allen and son, Kirk, of Sioux City.

1952

KNAPP FAMILY HOLDS 22nd ANNUAL REUNION

The twenty-second annual reunion of the Knapp family was held Aug. 17, 1952, at the homestead on Hwy 12, about 13 miles north of Sioux City.  The usual well-filled baskets were in evidence and all enjoyed the dinner at 1:30 p.m.

There were 55 members of the family present and one visitor.  Letters were received and read from absent members.  Mrs. Abe Miller, of LeMars, president, presided at the business meeting.

New officers were elected for the coming year as follows:  president, Cyrus Goodness, of Pratt, Kan.; vice president, Nellie Welch, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; secretary-treasurer, Murel Bennett, of Akron.

A gift was presented to the members coming from the greatest distance, Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Goodness, of Pratt, Kan.  The oldest member was Mrs. Rose M. Bennett, of Akron, and the youngest was Linda Rae Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merlyn Miller, of LeMars.

KNAPP REUNION
(Westfield Special)

Mr. Cyrus Goodness, president, of Pratt, Kansas, presided at the business meeting.  New officers elected for the coming year were:  Charles Knapp, of Merrill, Ia., president; Mrs. Charles Knapp, of Merrill, vice president; and Murel Bennett, of Akron, secretary-treasurer.

A gift was presented to the members coming from the greatest distance, Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Luce and sons, Jim and Allen, of San Diego, Calif.  The oldest member was Rose Bennett, of Akron, and youngest was Wendy Jean Knapp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Knapp, of Westfield.

There were 57 members of the family present and six visitors.  The fifth generation of Knapps to have lived in Plymouth county are the children of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Knapp, and Wendy Jean Knapp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Knapp, and Fay Beth Thomas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. G. Thomas and were present at the reunion this year.

Knapp, Cyrus Knapp, Judy, Roger, and Bruce, Clarence Knapp, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Knapp, Lynn Knapp and Wendy, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Knapp, Gordon, Stanley, and Barbara, Ivy Knapp, Ann and Barry, of Westfield; Mr. and Mrs. Abe Miller, of LeMars, Ia.; Mrs. Wm. The visitors were Mrs. E. Hasbrooke, of Fortuna, Calif.; Robert Armstrong, of Clear Lake; Mr. and Mrs. David Shields, of Cleveland, Ohio; Rodney and Jeffery Brown, of Minneapolis, Minn.
