LOCAL NEWS.

A family reunion was held at the Charles Ewin home Christmas Day. Those present for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ewin, Des Moines; W. A. Ewin, Austin, Minn.; Miss Ethel Ewin, Seney; Mr. and Mrs. August Witt, Mrs. Iona Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Witt and Clarence Stevenson, all of LeMars. This was the first time in twenty-five years that Arthur Ewin had seen any of the family. 

[A few paragraphs later in this news column it says:]

Mr. and Mrs. James Clark, of Cherokee, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ewin of Des Moines, and W. A. Ewin of Austin, Minn., were dinner guests Sunday in the Charles Ewin home.

1951

SENEY: (Seney Special)

Mr. and Mrs. Lee Forslund, Jr., and son, Jimmy Lee, from Minden, Neb.; and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Ewin and children, Linda and David, Mrs. Gerald Bos and son, Tommy, of LeMars; Miss Ethel Ewin, of Seney; Mrs. S. A. Jones, were dinner guests at the Chas. Ewin home Sunday, Sept. 16th, celebrating the birthday of Miss Ethel, Lee Forslund and Mrs. Irene Ewin.  The gathering was also celebrating the 30th Wedding Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Ewin, of Seney.

SENEY: (Special Correspondence)

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Ewin and Ethel Ewin attended a family Christmas gathering at the Vernon Ewin home in LeMars. Other members of the family present were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bos and son Tommy, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Forslund and son Jimmy, and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hodapp.
