DONLIN REUNION

A family picnic supper was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Donlin on Wednesday evening in honor of Mr. Donlin’s nephew and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Anderson, who have been stationed in Georgia where Mr. Anderson who is in the Intelligence Corps has been attending school.  They were on their way to Mankato, Minn.  Mr. Anderson will leave soon for overseas service.

Another guest of honor was Mrs. Art Kautz and two children, Phillip and Tinker, from Arkansas.  Following is the guest list:

Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Anderson, Mankato, Minn.; Mrs. Art Kautz, Phillip and Tinker, of Arkansas; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Winterfeld and Gene, of Craig; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Winterfeld and family, of Craig; and

Mr. and Mrs. Herb Kehrberg, Mr. and Mrs. Don Fisher and family, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Wendt and Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Donlin and family, Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Small and girls, Mrs. Charlie Brown, Mr. and Mrs. William Donlin and sons, all of LeMars;

Miss Joan Jordahl, Marcus, Ia.; Mrs. Gene Becker and girls, Hampton, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Alva Rollins and boys, Akron, Ia.; and

Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Baldwin and family, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tschample and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hamilton and Marlene, Bud Kehrberg, Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Donlin.

Mr. and Mrs. Alva Rollins, who were among the guests, had the misfortune of losing their barn and contents that same night by fired caused by lightning.  The fire occurred around 1:40 a.m. shortly after they had returned from the picnic.
