CARSTENSEN FAMILY HOLD REUNION SUNDAY

The second annual reunion of the Carstensen family was held Sunday, August 12.  As it was a rainy day, the meeting was held at the Milo Hughes home instead of in the Municipal Park in LeMars as originally planned.

Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Carstensen, Mr. and Mrs. Milo Hughes and daughters, Dorothy, Mildred and Alyce Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Wes Hamilton and children, Joyce and Billy; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Carstensen and daughter, Carol, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Carstensen and family, Roger, Shirley and Lloyd, all of Merrill; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Husman and family, Donald, Betty and Richard, of Hinton; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Heck, of Morningside; Mr. and Mrs. Nic Ewald and family, Shirley and Junior.

Grandma Sills of Hermann, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rieck, Dickie and Kenny, of Mae City.  Others present were Doris June of Merrill, Al Kleihauer, and Lloyd Hennings of LeMars; and Wayne Vanderfein, of Hawarden. 

The birthdays of Andrew Carstensen and his daughter, Mrs. Wes Hamilton, were also celebrated.  A delicious picnic dinner and supper were enjoyed by all and inspite of the rainy weather everyone seemed to have a wonderful time.

CARSTENSEN FAMILY REUNION WELL ATTENDED

The third annual reunion of the Carstensen family was held Sunday, Aug. 10, on the Andrew Carstensen’s lots.  The day was perfect for a picnic and well attended.

Those present were:  Mr. and Mrs. Bert Mueller and daughters, Winthrop, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. John Ewald and Johnny, Herman, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nissen and family, Hartley;

Mr. and Mrs. August Ewald, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Reich and sons, Ocheyedan; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Heck and Tommy, Sioux City; Mr. and Mrs. George Carstensen and family, Mrs. Alice Meines, Lloyd Hennings, LeMars; Wayne Vanderfeen, Hawarden; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Husmann and family,

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Carstensen, Mr. and Mrs. Milo Hughes and girls, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Carstensen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wes Hamilton and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Carstensen and Carol, Doris June and Naomi Kranz, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Steckling, all of Merrill.

CARSTENSEN REUNION

The annual Carstensen family reunion was held on Sunday, Aug. 9, on the lots across from the Andrew Carstensen home.  There were 50 in attendance as follows:

Mr. and Mrs. August Ewald, of Ocheyedan, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. John Ewald and Johnny, Mr. and Mrs. Nis Ewald and Junior, Mrs. Loretta Sill and Mrs. Donald Boehm, all of Hermann, Mo.; Eugene Heck and Tommy, of Sioux City; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hennings, of LeMars; Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Meins, of Auburn, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. Audrey Carstensen, Mr. and Mrs. Milo Hughes and Dorothy, Mr. and Mrs. Wes Hamilton, Joyce and Billie, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Carstensen and Lloyd, and

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Carstensen and Carol, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Husman, Don, Betty and Richie, Mrs. Wayne Vander Feen, all of Merrill.  Visitors included Rev. and Mrs. J. G. Brinkman and two sons, Bob and Wesley, Mrs. Edith Luense, Ben, Patty and Jimmy and Doris June also all of Merrill.
