BRAUN FAMILY HOLD REUNION ON CHRISTMAS

This Christmas will be long remembered by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Braun, farmers living near here.  On that day all their children were home except Miss Leona Braun, who is studying voice at New York.  But she even saw to it that her voice appeared in the home, for in the afternoon she telephoned Christmas greetings to her parents from New York.

The children attending the reunion were:  Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Braun and family of Alton; Mr. and Mrs. John Braun and family, LeMars; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Mayrose and family, LeMars; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Alesch and family, Marcus; Mr. and Mrs. Will E. Groetken and family of Hinton; Dr. and Mrs. Leonard Hoffman and family of Estherville; Mr. and Mrs. Frances Braun of LeMars and Carl; Paul and Mary at home.  Frank Mullesch and Gregg Kass were also visitors at the Braun home on Christmas.

BRAUN FAMILY PICNIC    

A large group of LeMars relatives went to Hubbard, Nebraska, on Sunday, August 1st, to the country home of Mr. and Mrs. John Braun for a picnic dinner, honoring Sister Mary Colette of Waterloo, Iowa, and Sister Mary Virginice, of Ashton, Iowa, both of the Order of St. Francis.

Among the relatives who spent the day at Hubbard were; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Groetken and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Groetken and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Braun, Mrs. G. H. Groetken, Mr. and Mrs. Matt H. Walker, John Braun, Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Groetken and family and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Mairose of LeMars, Mrs. Joe Alesch of Marcus, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Gregg Kass and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Funk and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Groetken and family of Sibley, Iowa, and Miss Helen Braun of Sioux City, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Braun of LeMars, are the grandparents of Sister Mary Colette, Mr. and Mrs. John Braun of Hubbard, Nebraska, are her parents.
