Henry P. Willer was born February 11, 1893 at Keystone, Iowa, the son of Hans and Cecelia Heitman Willer. He married Ruth Huff September 1, 1921. Ruth, the daughter of William and Jennie Baughman Huff, was born July 10, 1891, at Taylorville, Illinois.

They farmed in Westfield township, Plymouth County. Henry served in World War I. After he retired from farming, he continued to live with his son, Lloyd, until the time of his death October 30, 1973.

Henry & Ruth were the parents of four children: Harry, Edna, Lloyd and Alma.
