Harry Trafford married Otellia Szitnick

~Married: LeMars, Iowa, August 29, 1898

On one of these machines is the late Harry Trafford. Harry was born in England and arrived in America at the age of seven years. He married Otellia Szitnick and the couple had three daughters.

The daughters are:  Mrs. Louis Haack, Remsen; Mrs. Edith (Lawrence) Masuen of LeMars; and Emma Trafford, who died January 20, 1964. Two daughters died in infancy.

Do You Know What Town In the County This Picture Was Taken In?

The above picture which has been in the Trafford family all these years, was taken in 1904 or earlier. Shown in the picture are a Case steam engine, a water and tender thresher.  To become a separator man, one had to graduate from the water tender to become a threshing machine specialist.

The picture has been lying at the Emma Trafford residence at 400 6th Street SW for many years. Those who have seen the picture do not know which building (in which town) is shown or which man is on which machine? The Trafford family knows that one of the men in the picture is the late Harry Trafford. Which one?
