PETER REESE FAMILY    Peter Reese came from Germany as a very young man. In 1883 he purchased 200 acres from the Dubuque and Pacific railroad. ~Source:  Plymouth County Heritage, published 1998 by the Plymouth County Historical Society, LeMars, Iowa, page 164, written by Tillie Harrington LeMars Semi-Weekly Sentinel Friday, February 12, 1886 THE CITY. Marriage licenses are a little slow. Since our last report only one has been granted, which was to Peter Reese and Matilda Margreta Pecks. LeMars Sentinel, January 31, 1898 Karen Harrington shared, "News about Henry the oldest child of Peter and Mathilda Mammen Reese. The last paragraph lists the Mammen family attending the party as well. The old newspaper articles are SO valuable."
