Nis Nielsen (1934-1922) married Herlig Jespersen Lund (1837-1915) on 15 Mar 1861 in Skrydstrup, Denmark. This couple died in Plymouth County, IA.

Two of their daughters married Kloster brothers.

Anna Sophia Nielsen married Thorvald (Tovel) Kloster.
