About twenty-five relatives and friends of Mrs. Albert Lundgren came to help her celebrate her 81st birthday on Wednesday, July 16.

They brought well filled picnic baskets and birthday cake baked by Mrs. Andrew Bogh, which was cut and served after the singing of “Happy Birthday” to Mrs. Lundgren.

Mrs. Lundgren has lived in Fredonia township her entire life time and on the Baldwin farm.  She was married to Albert Lundgren of Worthington, Minn., in 1903.  They have three children, Robert, Gladys (Mrs. Arnold Patterson) and Allen; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

She is holding her great grandchild in the picture.  He is Curtis Wayne Fabian, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Fabian, of Colorado Springs, Colo.

The afternoon was spent in visiting recalling past experiences, and showing of pictures.  Roy Pinnay (sic ?) and Mrs. Roy Manning competed in a foot race.  Some present hadn’t seen each other for forty years.  Will Reeves, present at the party, had been at Mrs. Lundgren’s birthday sixty years ago.
