MRS. BETHEL WATERS

Funeral services for Mrs. Bethel Mae Waters, 77, 813 12th St., will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Anderson Funeral Home. The Rev. Curtis W. Lindahl, pastor of the Mayflower Congregational Church, will officiate and burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery.

Emerald Lodge 23, Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen will conduct memorial services at the funeral home following the funeral services. Pacific Rebekah Lodge will conduct services at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Waters died Tuesday at a Sioux City nursing home after a brief illness.

~FAMILY NOTE: Bethel Mae was one of two daughters born to John Major Cheatham and wife, Caroline Margaret Potter Cheatham. Bethel was their oldest child, born 28 Aug 1891, Sheldon, Iowa. Bethel Mae was married twice, first time to Charles Smith and then to a Mr. Waters. There were no children in either marriage. Bethel possessed a beautiful singing voice and played the piano.
