GUY WOOD

Another star on Ocheyedan's service flag has been turned to gold. Word reached here last Wednesday that Guy Wood, who was stationed at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis, Indiana, had passed away. Death resulted after a very brief illness. His wife had not much more than been notified of his serious illness before the sad news of his death came. She went at once to Alden, his home, to await the arrival of the remains under military escort and the attend the funeral.

For some time previous to entering the service Mr. Wood had been fireman and engineer in the west and southwest. When the government made a call for railroad men for overseas service, he enlisted in the branch of war work he was best fitted for, and was sent to Ft. Benjamin Harrison for training.
