MEMORIAL MASS JAN. 16 FOR SGT. LEWIS FOUSEK
Memorial mass will be read Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the St. Andrew's Church for Sgt, Lewis J. Fousek of Harris, who was killed in action in France October 24. The Rev, Leo J. Berger will be the celebrant.Military honors will be confired [sic] by the members of the George E. Mudge Post of the American Legion under A.L. Sharbondy, commander.
He took his training with the Infantry as a heavy gunner, going overseas in April, 1944. It is believed he was serving with General Patton at the time of his death.
