From the records at St. John’s Lutheran (LCMS) in Hartley, IA the following notes were made concerning members of St. Peter's/American Lutheran Church in Melvin:
Confirmed in 1910 – Royal, IA: Louie Klatt, Robert Klatt, Leo Klatt, Emil Klatt, Mrs. Ed Klatt, Hulda Klatt, and Elsie Klatt (These individuals were members in later years at American Lutheran of Melvin.) Records show a “Louis Klatt” confirmed 1912 at ALC in Melvin.

Irma Riedemann (father: F. E. Riedemann) was baptized at ALC in 1908; confirmed 4/9/1922 – St. John’s, Hartley, IA .

Harold Riedemann – baptized ALC in 1910 – baptized 6/8/1924 – St. John’s, Hartley, IA.

Mrs. F. E. Riedemann – also confirmed 6/8/1924 at St. John’s, Hartley, IA .

Fred W. Benz (of ALC) married Hanna Jass (of St. John’s) 6/15/1921 – witnesses: Louis Mielke & Maggie Mielke – Fred & Hanna are both buried in Baker Township Cemetery .

Tobias Erion (marriage record at ALC – 1893) died 1/18/1911 – record of burial held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Hartley, IA (LCMS).

Connie Kay Johnson (born 2/14/54 – baptized 3/14/1954) was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran, Hartley – her parents – LeRoy Johnson and Mavis Huck were married at ALC in 1951; Mavis Huck was baptized at ALC in 1930.

Ida Elvira (Billie) Wiechert – born 7/25/1921; baptized and confirmed as an adult 6/16/1946 at ALC; died 10/11/2002 at Prairie View Nursing Home, Sanborn; buried at Baker Twp. Cemetery.
