Wilmer Ten Kley Killed in Action
Victim of the German Drive of Last Month

Mr. Peter Ten Kley received a phone call Monday noon from his parents Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ten Kley that they had a telegram from the War Department saying that their son Private Wilmer Ten Kley was killed in action on January 13. He was caught in the German drive in the Bastogne area.

Wilmer Ten Kley was 19 years of age, having been born on the old Ralph Hinman farm 7 miles west of Primghar. He attended high school in Sheldon and graduated in the class of 1943. On November 3, 1943 he entered the service of his country and was sent overseas December 1, 1944.
