History Center and Museum

Historical societies with their activities and exhibition of artifacts help us understand our past, establish our identity as a community, and guide us in our course for the future. They serve to educate our citizens about themselves.

You are invited to learn more about our county, and to become a part of making history a part of community life by your membership and support of the Society and its activities. Memberships support the work of the society and bring members newsletters and privilege to use the facility.

Annual Memberships July 1-June 30

  • Family $10.00
  • Sustaining $100

Research:

The MCHS staff will do historical lookups and research our resources for a donation of  $10.00 and a self addressed stamped envelope (SASE). The donation will include copies, unless we are asked to do a large quantity (10 or more copies). If the research question is extensive, we will see what help is available for you. Genealogy questions are referred to Bill Smith.
