Recovering from Burns in Blast

OSAGE, IOWA — Mrs. Alan Rowe is recovering satisfactorily following painful burns suffered 10 days ago in the explosion of a circulating heater in her home.

Her eyebrows and lashes were burned off and her face, neck, right hand and wrist were painfully burned and her hair ignited.

Mrs. Rowe had presence of mind to roll her head on an overstuffed chair. She was alone and went to her husband's parents at once, whence she was taken immediately to the doctor.

Notwithstanding the pain the young housewife remembered a pie in the oven While en route to her mother-in-law's home and went back, removed the pie, then was taken to the doctor's office

She is an expectant mother.
