OBITUARY

Truax

Jeannette, the 8-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Truax, 205 North Center street, died at 1p.m. Tuesday, of malignant diphtheria, after an illness of eight days. The remains were buried at 5 o'clock the same evening. Medical skill and the most assiduous care and nursing were baffled in the effort to stay the dreaded scourge. Jeannette was a child of remarkable promise and her death is a blow to the household such as few can realize. Owing to the character of the disease the funeral was very private.

The Ladies Guild of St. Paul church, of which the mother is a prominent member, sent an exquisite floral offering, conveying to the bereaved parents their heartfelt sympathy in their hour of trouble.
