County Coordinator's Note:  The Mexican War concluded just as the first settlement of Madison County began.  The people listed below are veterans of that war who served from various eastern states and eventually moved to Iowa. There are no known published lists that correlate service in this war with residence in Madison County.  The County Coordinators are therefore reliant on descendants for obtaining data for this list.  Your inputs are encouraged and welcome.
