1. Uriah W. Heater came to Iowa in 1885, located in Madison County, Iowa - daughter says he had a great love for his comrades and county, always ready to serve. Rebecca Hiskey transferred to Aux 8 - 20 May 1949 2. Note, CSA Veterans of Washington claim this Uriah Heater as their own. This is the only GAR member from Madison County whose sources are not official documents. 3. Contact the Madison County Coordinator for copy of daughter's letter to GAR. |
