Notes: Winterset Herald 01 Jul 1914 - Thomas J. Alexander moved recently to Des Moines, passed away. Was born May 1, 1847 in Juda, Wis. Married Martha Brown in 1866 who died in 1910. Had four children: Floyd, Eleanor, Shirley D., Erwin. Went to O'Brien County in 1869, was elected and served as County Treasurer 1876-1882; afterward 4 years as County Auditor. Later became editor of the Kingsley Times to 1892, when he came to Winterset. Married Mrs. Sophia Morgan. Buried in Winterset.
