cemetery records are not used as there is limited access to
them. For rural cemeteries, the written records are the
responsibility of the Township Trustees or, in a few cases, the
cemeteries have their own associations. For the Winterset
Cemetery, ledgers of burials were made available to the County
Coordinators in August, 2021 but have not been cross checked
against the Cemetery Burial List appearing on this website
except for obituaries posted since August, 2021.

County Coordinator, is unsourced, and is being removed as time
permits to comply with National Genealogical Society guidelines.
