BROCKWAY
D.M. Brockway, known to many as "Doc," died at his home in Denmark, August 2, 1924, in his 83rd year. His parents, Titus Brockway and Nancy Wilson were pioneers, settling near Denmark in 1833. He was the seventh son of a family of 11 children, none of whom are now living. In 1866, he was married to Miss Sarah McElhaney, who died in 1912. Two children, Minnie L. and Charles, who were born to this union are now dead. He leaves a son-in-law, Mont. Chipman, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mae Diedrich and two grandchildren, Irene and Martin Brockway, besides numerous nephews and nieces with their families. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon from his home in Denmark. Rev. Henn had charge of the services, assisted by Herbert Brockway, a grand nephew, who is a student pastor at the Presbyterian Churches at West Point and Mt. Hamill. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery.

Denmark Man is Dead
Funeral for D.M. Brockway, 82, Was Held Yesterday
Denmark, Ia Aug 4._ D.M. Brockway, who had been a familiar figure on the local streets for a good many years, passed away Saturday night at 11 o'clock. He was past eighty-two years of age and had been in failing health for some time.
The funeral was held at the house at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, with Rev. H.L. Henn and Herbert Brockway officiating. He is survived by two grandchildren and their mother, Mrs. Lou Deidrick, and a host of relatives and friends.

Obituary-Ft. Madison Weekly Evening Democrat, Ft. Madison, Iowa; Wednesday, 24 August, 1901-

BROCKWAY
At his residence 3515 West Fifth Street, Des Moines, Iowa, at 11:45 a.m.+ Saturday, August 20, 1901, Nathaniel Brockway, of cancer of the stomach, aged 74 years, 6 months, and 6 days. The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nathaniel Brockway and one son, Walter, both of Des Moines. The deceased was born in Ohio, moved to Denmark, Iowa, when a boy, and about fifteen years ago removed to Des Moines, where he had lived there continously till the time of his death. The body was brought to Ft. Madison, Monday night by the wife and the son and placed in the Sternberg & Lohman undertaking parlors, from where the funeral services were held yesterday at 9 a.m. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery.

Nathaniel Brockway was born in Trumbull County, Ohio, February 14, 1836; died at Des Moines, Iowa, August 20. 1910. He was the ninth* of a family of eleven children, only one of whom, Martin Brockway of Denmark, Iowa, survives him. He came to Iowa with his parents, who settled near Ft. Madsion in 1838, thus having been a resident of this state 72 1/2 years. In August 1862, he enlisted in the 19th Iowa Volunteer Infantry and served to the end of the war. In December, 1865, he was united in marriage to Miss Lucy Tibbetts of Ft. Madison, Iowa, who still survives him. Two children were born to them; Ora H. Brockway of Des Moines and Mrs. Lasella Hunt of Redfield, Iowa. He lived on a farm in Lee County until 1892, when he moved to the present residence in Des Moines. In young manhood he was converted and joined the Congregational Church. On removing to Des Moines, he joined the Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member till his death
