A barn of the Barney Devine farm in Riverdale township, Kossuth county was burned recently, and ten

horses were cremated.

Barney Devine of Kossuth county was an Emmetsburg visitor Monday. He was on his way home from

Livermore to Algona. He spent the past few years in California. He was for many years the cattle king of

Kossuth county. He says he hunted wolves in this vicinity fifty years ago.
