SWANK CEMETERY

Located in Johnson County, near Lone Tree, Iowa in Fremont Township SE1/4 Section 32

Take Highway 405 south through Lone Tree.  From the second stop sign drive south 2 miles. 
Turn right onto SE 660th Avenue.  Travel 1 mile and at stop sign turn left onto SE Utah. 
Travel 1/2 mile and turn right (curve) onto SE 670th. 
Travel 1/4 mile and turn left onto SE Utah Ave (gravel road). 
Drive approx. 1 1/4 mile.  Church will be on right side and cemetery is next to church. 

According to the 1880 History of Johnson County, Swank Cemetery was laid out by John Henry
and was originally 1 1/2 acres.  Levi Kizer's child was the first to be buried in Swank. 
The second person to be buried was John Boyle. 
The first column shows that the stone was present when the WPA walked the cemetery.
The next column is for shared stones "SS"
The rows are recorded from the north to the south.
