James A. Oldham, farmer, residing on Section 16, Fairview Township was born in Illinois September 6, 1851. His parents were Joseph and Margaret (Scott) Oldham. Our subject was united in marriage December 25, 1874, to Sarah E. Tool, daughter of James A. and Sarah (Fouts) Tool, her father now being the oldest resident citizen of the county. They are the parents of the following children. Ernest J., Mintie B., Olive F., Horace T., Arie A. and Grace M. our subject and wife are both members of the Methodist Church. Page 24
